Overview

Experience three unforgettable nights in Masai Mara, at Keekorok Lodge, a deluxe safari lodge in the heart of this world famous game reserve. This lodge is one of the first properties built in the reserve and has a wonderful location.

A typical Safari Itinerary is listed below. Note that prices vary depending on the month or season of travel, with July to October being peak season while April to mid June is low season.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Start of your Safari from Nairobi

We will collect you from your Hotel in Nairobi or the Jomo Kenyatta International airport [ JKIA] and transfer you to the domestic Wilson airport, where you have to report 45 mins to one hour prior to your flight. Board your 09.15 am flight to Masai Mara ~ flying time approx 1 hour: Upon arrival in Masai Mara at the airstrip, you will be received and transferred to your overnight lodge by the Driver-guide sent by the lodge. The safari vehicle will be a 4x4 such as a Land Cruiser or Land Rover. Your overnight lodge is an acclaimed property which offers beautiful views of the Mara reserve. Proceed for lunch [ in case of a morning flight arrival] and enjoy leisure time at the lodge. Experience your first Safari game drive late afternoon [typically 3.30pm] during which you explore the surrounding parts of the Mara and see its amazing wildlife. (The safari vehicle may carry other guests from the lodge).
Return to the lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30 pm] in time for dinner.

Day 02 :
Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara

You will be taken on two gamedrives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 03 :
Enjoy Full day in Masai Mara

Full day in Masai Mara. Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. Most animals are active at this time of the day and you therefore are likely to see plenty of game. Return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast. You may schedule a visit to a nearby Maasai Village with the Lodge Manager – this, typically one hour visit provides a fascinating insight into the day to day life of the famous Kenyan tribe, the nomadic Maasai. You also get to see their unique mud dwellings – the Manyatta huts. [ Additional activities such as maasai village visit at an extra cost ].
Return to the lodge for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon safari into the reserve. Return to the lodge by evening [ typically 6 to 6.30pm] in time for a relaxed evening , followed by dinner.

Day 04 :
Return to Nairobi

Today you bid farewell to Masai Mara. After a relaxed breakfast and check out, you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip for your 10.30am flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll have our Driver-guide waiting for you at Wilson Airport for onward transfer to your hotel or to the International airport. In case you wish to explore some of Nairobi’s attractions, then do let us know in advance and we can add these into the schedule at extra cost before dropping you off at the airport for your return international flight.

Cost Excludes

  • International flight tickets and visa costs.
  • Masai Mara Entry Fee of USD 300 per adult (starting 01st Jan to 30th June 2025) & USD 600 per adult (starting 01st July to 31st Dec 2025) for 03 nights, payable upon arrival in Masai Mara.
  • Tips, drinks, calls, and all such costs of a personal nature.
  • Credit Card Surcharge of 5 to 7% will apply or Bank Transfer Fees of USD 50.
  • *** Flight Baggage Limit: 15 kgs per person [ combined for carry on and check in ].

The best time for game viewing is during the dry season from June to October, especially for the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara (July–October). However, Kenya is a year-round destination with different highlights in every season.
